Ab Hague, DVM
He has enjoyed practicing veterinary medicine at the Crestview Veterinary Hospital since starting the business in May 1977. Over the years, he has found it an exciting time in veterinary medicine with a steady progression of improvements from computers, to in house blood analysis, ultrasound and now, digital x-ray. With each advancement, he has seen the benefit to helping animals stay healthier. Dr. Hague enjoys the spirit of his patients and the friendliness of their owners. His own family has always had cats and dogs as an integral part of their life.
Cara Torevell, DVM
Dr. Cara attended the University of Manitoba where she completed her undergraduate degree in Animal Sciences. She was accepted to the Western College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating with her Doctorate in 2006.Her enthusiasm for veterinary medicine is driven by the human-animal bond; the positive effect that loving, furry, feathered and scaled family members can have on our lives. Her interests include preventative medicine, surgery and dentistry. She has a personal soft spot for increasing the quality of life in the aging pet population. In her free time, Dr. Cara enjoys spending time with her young son Nate, their two cats, and their bearded dragon, Wilfred. Cara is looking forward to meeting you and your two, three and four-legged family members!
Heather Kovacs, DVM
Prior to her veterinary career, Heather completed a masters degree in Science which included clinical research into pediatric nutrition. She started her second career at Crestview Veterinary Hospital following graduation from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. Her active life style is shared with her husband and their two children. They also have a rescue dog, Dodger, and Eddie the Chinchilla.
Ashley, Registered Veterinary Technician
Ashley graduated from Red River College in the spring of 2014 and joined our team in February 2017. She shares her home with her rescue cats, Mia and Cleo! Ashley enjoys working with all of the interesting exotic animals that come through our doors, as well as the cats and dogs. She is eager to help with all of your pets needs so feel free to ask her anything!
Alia, Registered Veterinary Technician
Alia joined our team July 2018 and is a recent graduate of the Red River Animal Health Technology Program. She has an orange tabby cat named Alfredo. She enjoys providing health and medical care for a variety of animals and has a new found interest for exotic species!
She joined Crestview as a receptionist/assistant in 1992. She has always loved animals and enjoys interacting with all of our clients and patients!
Sami, Veterinary Assistant
Sami is a graduate of the Robertson College Veterinary Assistant program and joined our team in September 2013. Aside from her regular duties as one of our veterinary assistants, she is also our resident 'IT department'. She will always have a special place in her heart for her bearded dragon (Strax), her rescue cat(Lilo), and a solid wifi-connection!
Katie, Veterinary Assistant
Katie graduated from Robertson College in August 2019 and joined our team that following September. She is a lover of all animals, especially her dachshund, Libby. When Katie isn't working you can find her out with Libby getting active.
